I’ve worked with many early-stage startups on product definition, marketing sites, pitch decks, and app UI design. I work closely with founders to understand their product and audience, and create a compelling narrative for their investors and users.

I frequently begin by reviewing the current site (if any), analyzing strengths and opportunities for improvement, and putting together a competitive review to understand how a product fits into the landscape.

Next, we move on to ideation.

Ideation & Low-fi Wireframes

Lightweight sketches help us explore a breadth of ideas quickly, identifying what resonates and blocking out rough structure. Next, I move into high-fi wireframes to solidify the UI and pin down the copywriting.

Visual Design

First, moodboards explore different visual directions we might take the design. I typically put together moodboards for three viable directions based on the company and product.

Custom moodboards help identify a look-and-feel that lines up with product goals and resonates with the team.

And then high-fidelity mockups capture pages for both desktop and mobile.

Style Guide & Implementation

Optionally, I code up and style a set of pages and put together a style guide or component library for easy use and collaboration by the team.

A library of easily reusable components, and standardized colors and typographpy guidelines.
